Three Men Rescued From Water Off Alameda
The men were exhausted when they were pulled from the bay, but not injured.
ALAMEDA, CA — Three men were exhausted but not hurt on Sunday when strong winds and currents swept them several hundred yards from shore, according to the Alameda Police Department. APD's Marine Patrol pulled them to safety.
The Marine Patrol made it to the location within minutes of a call for help. Two men were quickly located and pulled from the frigid water, while the third was found a few minutes later.
APD says the Marine Unit also removed potentially dangerous large debris from the waterways around the island.
