Ticket Time: Alameda Police Crack Down
Speeders, stop sign runners, distracted drivers — police weren't picky.

ALAMEDA, CA — Plenty of people in Alameda were cursing Mondays after polite exchanges with police officers. Cops were out in force writing tickets. On social media, the department said they were "reminding motorists of safe driving practices."
They chose places in town where drivers tend to speed and otherwise behave badly.
Police say they "issued citations to motorists failing to yield to pedestrians, stop sign violators, distracted drivers, and those looking for a spot in this year's Indy 500."
