eBay Tip: Ugly and Weird Sell!
People have always been fascinated by the strange and unusual. This is the reason why Ripley's Believe it or Not and The Twilight Zone were so successful!
With a little strategy, you can turn their curiosities into cold hard cash. The holiday shopping season is a great time to do this.
Ugly Christmas sweaters and ugly Santa neck ties are popular at office holiday parties.
In the last 30-days, eBay (US) shoppers spent $28,571 on 1,596 used women's clothes with the term "ugly Christmas sweater" in the title! Some sold for as much as $100.
Ugly money isn't limited to clothing. Here's an "Ugly Clay Frog Toad Head Statue" (I included this for you, Jenna!) that sold for $44.75 with shipping.
You don't even need to know much about your weird items to realize good money. All this seller knew was that the item was probably a hood ornament because it was found in an old dealership, yet this "Vintage Old Weird" car hood ornament brought in $148.50 with shipping!
