The USS Hornet Presents: Ship of Spirits, a Special Lecture on the Spirits that Call the Aircraft Carrier Home
Following the lecture session, a flashlight tour will be taken of areas reported to be home to spirits that never left the ship.

As Halloween approaches, dare to explore the USS Hornet afterhours and by flashlight and see for yourself if the famed aircraft carrier truly is haunted?
On Friday, Oct. 24 the USS Hornet presents Ship of Spirits featuring a special panel of paranormal experts sharing evidence of the hauntings. The event is from 7 p.m. to midnight. Cost is $45 per person. Space is limited. Tickets can be purchased by calling (510) 521-8448, ext. 224.

• Spencer Hughes, “The Spencer Hughes Show,” paranormal investigator, and radio host
• Alameda Paranormal Researchers, the official paranormal team of the USS Hornet who have conducted countless investigations onboard the ship.
• Sacramento-based Pacific Coast Spirit Watch, which has also investigated the ship and assists with the Hornet’s History Mystery Tours
• Natalie Owen, founder of Psychic Paranormal Research Investigations. She will be conducting séances during the Ship of Spirits tour
The lecture will be followed by a haunted flashlight tour of areas where spirits reportedly live. The tour will include areas not yet open to the general public. These areas include the Combat Information Center (CIC), Mess Deck, Sidewinder Missile Assembly Room, Sick Bay, and for the first time the original WWII hospital.
During its 27 years of active service, more than 300 people lost their lives aboard the ship. While many lost their lives in combat others were claimed by shipboard accidents. Crew and visitors alike have reported numerous strange incidents, sightings and sounds.

The Hornet has been the subject of several national television programs including MTV’s Fear; the Sci Fi Channel’s Ghost Hunters; and the Travel Channel’s Ghost Adventure

About the USS Hornet Museum:
The USS Hornet Museum, a popular tourist destination for families located in the San Francisco Bay Area, is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to inspiring people of all ages.
