Woman Dies Of Injuries Following Alameda Attempted Robbery
The 61-year-old woman was attacked outside a restaurant last Friday night.

ALAMEDA, CA — A 61-year-old woman died Tuesday of injuries she suffered during a violent attempted robbery last Friday in Alameda, police said today.
Officers responded to a report of a fight in front of a restaurant in the 1900 block of Webster Street around 11 p.m. Friday and found a 28-year-old man and the 61-year-old woman suffering from head injuries.
Both victims were transported to a hospital, where the man was treated and released. The woman, however, suffered serious traumatic injuries and did not survive, according to police.

Alameda police said they've devoted every available resource to pursuing leads and collecting evidence in the case, but so far no arrests have been made.
