A group of 5 people claimed the bounty, according to the California Lottery.

ALBANY, CA — The anticipation has been growing for some two months now - who won the $40 million SuperLotto Plus jackpot in December? The ticket was purchased at Albany Hill Mini Mart in Albany.
The California Lottery announced on Wednesday that a group of five winners has stepped forward. Rexis de Guia has been named as one of the winners. The other four names are not being released publicly. And if you were hoping to see a group photo, lottery officials say the winners are camera shy.
The winning ticket dates back to the Dec. 16 drawing.
