Albany Police Conducting Traffic Enforcement Aimed at Preventing Collisions
The enforcement efforts will take place this week in Albany.

Albany Police will be out in force this week focusing on areas of high pedestrian & bicycle traffic, focusing on speed, red light, and stop sign violations.
According to Albany Police officials, the enforcement efforts are part of a year-long program, funded by a $69,685 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, aimed at preventing deaths and injuries on our roadways through special enforcement and public awareness efforts.
The grant received by Albany will aid in the city’s ongoing effort to improve traffic safety and the quality of life. The Albany Police Department will use the funding as part of an on-going commitment to keep our roadways safe through both enforcement and education.
