Albany Police Plan Saturation Patrols Tuesday

The focus will be on protecting pedestrians and bicyclists.

The Albany Police Department will have additional officers assigned to traffic enforcement within the city limits on Tuesday, Jan. 12.

Officers will concentrate their enforcement efforts in areas of high pedestrian & bicycle traffic, focusing on speed, red light, and stop sign violations.

The Albany Police Department has been awarded an $85,000 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) for a year-long program aimed at preventing deaths and injuries on our roadways through special enforcement and public awareness efforts.
