Albany Teen Wins 1st At Regional Wrestling Tournament

ALBANY, CA — Meet the Best in the West! Albany High School wrestler Natalia Urbas took first place in the 132-pound weight class at the 4th Annual Women's West Coast Tournament of Champions held last weekend in Rocklin.

The WWCTOC is the only all-female wrestling tournament in the nation that showcases both high school and college athletes. An astounding 627 wrestlers from more than 80 high schools and 22 colleges participated in the competition.

Organizers of the event also stressed the recruitment aspect of the tournament. One college coach said before the competition that several of her team members had participated in the event as high school students.
