Aww! Kittens are Ready For Adoption
Boys and girls, tabbies and torties--they're all available for adoption.

Meet Sofi, a short-haired, brown tabby who loves exploring. The adorable kitten is available for adoption at Berkeley’s animal shelter, where 10-week-old kittens are now bounding about.
Kittens are typically born in the Spring and mature to adoptable age at this time of year. At 8 to 10 weeks of age or 2 lbs in size, kittens are big enough to be spayed and neutered, a necessary step to adoption. Playful, mischievous and adorable, these adorable kittens wait for a permanent home.
Kittens adopted from Berkeley Animal Care Services have been raised by devoted staff and unusually committed group of volunteers, who spend time with every cat every single day. Their socialization of kittens helps prepare them for new homes so that they transition easily. They are spayed or neutered, micro-chipped and vaccinated -- services which are all included in the $100 adoption fee.
