Community Invited to Ocean View Park Clean-Up Day

Announcement submitted by City of Albany:

The Friends of Albany Parks program is designed to encourage community members to get involved with the care, maintenance and beautification of their favorite neighborhood park. Park Community Discussion & Gala events provide social gatherings geared toward developing ideas for park improvement and getting residents involved with maintaining our neighborhood parks. These events also help foster a better sense of community and build social capital as neighbors meet and work with one another.

Friends of Albany Park members then recruit their friends and neighbors to come together for a Clean-Up Day after the Gala. Volunteers who attend the Clean-Up Day will receive an official Friends of Albany Parks t-shirt.

Wear your official Friends of Albany Parks t-shirt to the Albany Tap Room and get 10 percent your tab, June 13th only! Lunch is provided by the Albany Community Foundation.
