Please join us for the Albany Police Department's first-ever Safety Palooza! It is our grand kick-off event for and there's something for everyone. National Night Out is all about creating stronger police & community partnerships and building a stronger sense of community & trust right in your own neighborhood.
At Safety Palooza we will have activities for both kids & adults:
- go on a self-guided tour of the Police Department

- climb a rock wall
- get your face painted

- climb inside a police cruiser, a parking enforcement vehicle & a police van
- try on a duty belt & see if you can identify all the pocket holes
- check out our hostage negotiation tools
- test your safety skills & submit your entry in our raffle (fabulous prizes!)
The Emergency Operations Center and the 9-1-1 Dispatch Center will also be open. We'd love to show you around our facility and give you a better sense of what it is we do every day to help keep you as safe as possible.
