WHY: Every day at ACCESS, we hear from women unable to access the full range of reproductive health services, including abortion and birth control. Low-income women in California are at a high risk of being denied access to the full range of reproductive health services. Lack of knowledge, lack of economic resources and misinformation create many of the barriers faced by women. For many women, ACCESS is their only source of unbiased and accurate information for their reproductive health needs. Our statewide Practical Support Network consists of volunteers who provide rides, overnight housing, childcare and other support to ensure a woman can get her abortion without delay. Our Women In Need Fund helps pay for abortion procedures and related travel expenses when women do not have other financial resources available. At the heart of ACCESS’ work is our dedication to making sure that every woman has the information, resources, and support she needs to make the reproductive and sexual health decisions that are right for her. By leading your own team or by participating, you'll be making a direct and immediate impact in our community.
HOW: Teams of 4-5 pledge to raise a minimum of $1000 before the event and then we come together and bowl and have a great time! To join a team or register a team please email bowlingforaccess@gmail.com
