Music Sources presents Hasten to the Sea: A Journey through Medieval Iberia and Occitania.
Rita and Tim present secular songs of medieval Portugal, northern Spain, and southern France from the 12th and 13th centuries. The program will feature Martin Codax's magnificient Cantigas de Amigo song cycle (mid-13th-century), other secular Portuguese cantigas, instrumental realizations, and songs of the trobairitz (female troubadours).
