IN THE SWING is a dynamic vocal jazz ensemble that performs songs from the swing era plus a whole lot more. Consisting of Stacey Shulman-vocals, Barry Silverblatt-guitar and vocals, Alan Spector-guitar and vocals, and bassist John Zalabak, the group showcases a variety of musical genres including, swing, bebop, Latin, standards, ballads, novelty songs, even a little country, opera, and rock &roll. Some of the arrangements feature tight three part harmonies while others spotlight individual singers or instrumental solos. The idea is to keep the music fresh and interesting capturing the essence of great music from the past but also adding individual touches. In addition to being top notch musicians and singers, the members of In the Swing are fun, engaging and appreciated by audiences wherever they perform.
