Michael Horse is an award-winning Native American jeweler of Zuni, Mescalero Apache and Yaqui descent. He is a master silver and goldsmith who has been making jewelry for over 35 years. During this evening, Michael will be giving an informal talk about the many different types and qualities of turquoise, as well as how his jewelry is made. He will be bringing some of the tools he uses which have been in his family for generations as well as turquoise and other stones that he sets.
Michael Horse is a man of many talents who is also a folk art painter and an actor. Many will recognize him from his many television and movie roles including Deputy Hawk of Twin Peaks.
