STRETCH your idea of the future...

Watch the movie Garbage Warrior (2008, 87 minutes) that shows renegade architect Michael Reynolds and team making "Earthships", beautiful energy-independent homes made of stuff most people throw away. Followed by discussion and a presentation by Trey Farmer, the guy behind Living Labs, an organization that helps local schools install outdoor learning centers. He will present an amazing retrofit of El Cerrito Plaza that he co-created for an Architecture School project. "Resilience Village is a place where the good life prospers. It is designed with the needs of the next seven generations in mind."
