Swim suits, towels and sunscreen should be brought to camp starting on Monday. Campers will be evaluated on the first day by instructors at El Cerrito Pool and then given instruction and recreational swim time each morning. Note: campers will also participate in a longer recreational swim one afternoon of the week.
Children from Swim Camp join those from the other morning camps each afternoon and on field trip days. Campers are assigned to BEARS (entering grades 2-3) or GRIZZLIES (entering grades 4-5). During the afternoons, staff provide creative, exciting activities and games in a supportive environment. Along with traditional camp arts and crafts, group games, storytelling, singing, swimming and trips to local parks, BEARS & GRIZZLIES will enjoy a field trip each week.
This camp is for children entering grades 2-5 and runs from July 19 - 23, 2010.
