The Wonder of the World: Music from the Court of Frederick II (1194-1250) at St. Alban

This concert features music from the Holy Roman Emperor Frederick II, a German who was also King of Sicily, where his court was filled with scholars, musicians and poets. 

Known as Stupor Mundi, the "Wonder of the World" he was an enemy of the Pope, a man who denounced the Abrahamic religions, but who had an insatiableb curiosity for learning.
