The city of Albany offers block movie nights to help neighbors get to know each other. The fee for the service is $375, and includes a 12-foot movie screen, sound system, street closure and two staff members.  Blocks provide electricity, some helpers and a social gathering that includes food before the movie. Movie nights can take place from July 23 to Oct. 2.
