The city of Albany offers block movie nights to help neighbors get to know each other.

The city of Albany offers block movie nights to help neighbors get to know each other.

The fee for the service is $375, and includes a 12-foot movie screen, sound system, street closure and two staff members. 

Blocks provide electricity, some helpers and a social gathering that includes food before the movie.

Movie nights can take place from July 23 to Oct. 2.
