Saint Mary's Senior is Albany Youth of the Year
Saint Mary's Senior, Soraya Shockley, has been named "Youth of the Year" by the Albany Chamber of Commerce.
The Saint Mary’s High community congratulates Miss Soraya Shockley, Class of 2015, on being named ”Youth of the Year” by the Albany Chamber of Commerce. Soraya was nominated by Saint Mary’s faculty member, Mr. Mike Sommers, Class of 1974 (pictured with her) and was honored for her continued and tireless service to the local community.
Soraya is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Everett and Leila Shockley, and sister of Aidan Shockley, Saint Mary’s Class of 2013. She received a check for $1,000 from the Chamber at the awards ceremony at the iconic Log Cabin Cafe on October 22.
