Albany Police Department Conducting Extra Traffic Enforcement

Officers will be out in force looking for safety violations.

The Albany Police Department will have extra officers assigned to traffic enforcement on Friday, June 5, according to a departmental announcement.

According to a statement released by Albany Police, the enforcement efforts will be conducted in “areas of high pedestrian and bicycle traffic, focusing on speed, red light and stop sign violations.”

The enforcement detail is part of many funded by a $69,685 grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety.
