📰 News we're reading

• Altadena survivors want more time to review major post-fire report (dailynews.com) — Altadena fire survivors are pressing Los Angeles County leaders for more time to review a critical 724-page report on the Eaton Fire, which devastated large parts of the community. Residents say the county's seven-day review window is too short, want survivors included in the response, and are demanding accountability for delayed evacuations and alleged failures in protecting west Altadena.

• Many Visions, One Space • MassisPost (massispost.com) — Altadena residents can explore a three-day Armenian art exhibition at the TCA Beshgeturian Center on Allen Avenue from October 15–17, featuring works by 45 contemporary Armenian artists. With many creators on-site and evening and weekend hours, the show offers a rare chance to experience international Armenian art and meet the artists without leaving the neighborhood.

• Molly Steinsapir Foundation to Hold Inaugural Benefit October 18 (palipost.com) — Altadena households affected by recent wildfires are among those helped by the Molly Steinsapir Foundation, which has furnished more than 180 homes and offered legal aid clinics to fire survivors. The group's inaugural benefit on October 18 will raise funds to expand youth-led service projects and support families across Palisades, Malibu, and Altadena still rebuilding their lives.
