Organizers say high turnover and heavy patient loads are hurting care, while hospital leaders criticize the timing amid wildfire-related pressures and insist operations will continue during the walkout.
5. Guardians score twice in ninth to sweep Angels (statenews.net) — Baseball fans in Anaheim saw the Angels lose a 3-0 lead as the Cleveland Guardians rallied for a 4-3 win Wednesday afternoon at Angel Stadium, completing a three-game sweep.
