Banning Pumpkin Patch To Open Oct. 1

Come one come all to a pumpkin patch and Trunk or Treat on Oct. 28.

BANNING, CA — A month-long pumpkin patch Halloween event is coming to the city of Banning in October. Residents can expect inflatables, rides, a petting zoo, food vendors and more throughout the month, and a few special events.

The Banning pumpkin patch will run from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. from Oct. 1 - 31 at 150 E. Ramsey Street in Banning, in front of the City Hall and Police Station.

A Trunk or Treat/Car Show, including an EWF Wrestling Match, is scheduled for Oct. 28.

"The first batch of pumpkins is coming in," organizers noted on Instagram. "We are super excited to start the first Dia De Los Muertos Pumpkin Patch in the city of Banning."

The entrance is free, and there will be free candy on Halloween day, organizers say.

Sponsors are still being sought, organizers say.

A portion of the donations and sponsorship proceeds will go toward A.R.E. Animal Shelter in Banning. Current sponsors include Inner City Auto Repair and Tires, Rapid Care Urgent Care and Ben Escalera, a realtor from Berkshire Hathaway.

More sponsors, vendors and volunteers are still being accepted.

Though the event is titled the Dia De Los Muertos Pumpkin Patch, the formal Dia De Los Muertos celebration occurs on Nov. 1 - 2.
