The full title of the show is "Sweeney Todd & Friends: The Songs of Stephen Sondheim A Musical Revue."

The Beaumont High Drama Club's show will feature songs from multiple musicals scored by Sondheim, the American composer and lyricist.
Sweeney Todd is the legendary, murderous barber who first appeared in 1840s English fiction stories known as "penny dreadfuls."

Adaptations of the story include a 1936 film, a 1973 play, and the 1979 Broadway musical thriller "Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street," with music and lyrics by Sondheim.
More recently, "Sweeney Todd, the Demon Barber of Fleet Street" appeared on the big screen in the 2007 film directed by Tim Burton and starring Johnny Depp.
