Beaumont Man Killed in Crash Identified, Community Launches Fundraiser

The Riverside County coroner’s office Monday identified the young man who was hit by a vehicle in Beaumont a week earlier, suffering fatal injuries.

21-year-old Matthew Perez of Beaumont died Thursday, three days after the wreck at Beaumont Avenue and Oak Valley Parkway, according to the coroner’s office.

According to friends and family, Perez’ organs were donated following his death.

Meanwhile, a GoFundMe account has been started to help raise money for funeral expenses. As of Monday afternoon, $675 had been raised. Click here or in the widget below if you would like to help.
