Beaumont Police Dismantle (Another) Multimillion-Dollar Marijuana Grow Operation

The agency broke up two operations in two days this week-- valued at $12 million total.

BEAUMONT, CA — Beaumont police say they've discovered another marijuana grow operation in town this week; this one, valued at $3 million.

According to the agency, police served a search warrant around 10 a.m. Wednesday in the 600 block of Luis Estrada, which is just south of the SR-60/Interstate 10 connector.

"For the second day in a row, officers discovered an illegal marijuana growing operation," officials said in a news release, adding that they believe the facility had been operational for about a month.

Some 927 marijuana plants were seized at the location, along with growing equipment, police said. The marijuana haul is valued at $2.7 million and the equipment at another $300,000.

No arrests were made.

This is the second large-scale grow discovered in town within two days this week. Police say that on Tuesday, they found a $9 million operation about a mile away.
