BGCSGP recently received a $50,000 grant from the Panda Cares Foundation. The money is being used to expand the BGCSGP's music program.

The following is a news release from the Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Gorgonio Pass:
BANNING, CA — The Boys & Girls Clubs of the San Gorgonio Pass (BGCSGP) have something to sing about. BGCSGP recently received a $50,000 grant from the Panda Cares Foundation to expand its music program. BGCSGP was one of only 10 Clubs in the United States to be awarded a grant.
Over the summer, this generous funding allowed the Club to offer two music programs at the Teen Center. Teens learned how to play a variety of instruments, write lyrics, and learn recording techniques. In addition, the Club was able to purchase much-needed musical equipment including keyboards, headphones, ukuleles, acoustic guitars, guitar racks, electric guitars, amps, and an electric drum set.

“The grant from the Panda Cares Foundation is such an amazing gift for our Club. We have had a music program for several years and this grant will really allow us to take it to the next level. Our youth deserve the gift of music and all the benefits it bestows and, with this funding, we are able to provide them with a high-quality music program. We have added additional music instructors and our youth are practicing diligently, so they can showcase their new skills in a fall performance,” said Amy Herr, CEO.
