Cars Explode In Deadly Inland Empire Crash: Road Closures In Place
The sound of the violent crash at Highland and Del Rossa drives woke a neighborhood Wednesday morning.

SAN BERNARDINO, CA —Two people were killed in a fiery San Bernardino crash early Wednesday morning, the San Bernardino County Fire Department reported.
Shortly after 8 a.m., firefighters and police raced to the collision on Highland Avenue, just east of Del Rosa Avenue. There, three vehicles collided, and all were on fire in what was suspected to be a DUI crash, according to reports from the scene.
"Two patients suffered fatal injuries, and a third had minor injuries," a spokesperson for SB County Fire said. That patient was treated at the scene.

Highland Avenue was closed in both directions east of Del Rosa following the crash. The length of that closure was not immediately known.
"It seemed too early for a pursuit," one resident commented over social media post.

Other residents nearby reported hearing the crash and the responding officers. No other information was immediately available.
