Cherry Valley, Beaumont Power Outage Affects More Than 1,000

Power was out in close to 1,300 homes and businesses in Cherry Valley and Beaumont Sunday from an electrical failure.

The outage was reported at 8:53 a.m. in central Cherry Valley and as far west as Interstate 10 and Oak Valley Parkway.

1,282 homes and businesses were without power for about 90 minutes, according to the Southern California Edison website.

By 10:37 a.m., power was restored to all but three customers, the website said, and full repairs would be finished by 5:30 p.m.
