CITY: Beaumont Looks Forward to 'Clarifying the Areas of Concern' of State Controller

The city of Beaumont released a statement in response to an investigation being launched by the California State Controller's Office.

In response to an investigation into the city’s financial and reporting practices by the state Controller’s Office, Beaumont officials have release an official statement.

The city says they will work with the agency to help clarify “...the areas of concern outlined...” by the agency.

On Tuesday, May 19th, the City of Beaumont received a notification letter from the State Controller’s Office. The letter stated that the State Controller’s Office will be conducting an investigation in relation to the financial practices and reporting practices of the City.

The City is fully committed to cooperating with the State Controller’s investigation and looks forward to clarifying the areas of concern outlined in the notification letter.
