Coroner IDs Woman, 87, Killed In SR-79 Collision
The Calimesa woman was positively identified on Friday.

CALIMESA, CA — The Riverside County Sheriff's Department Coroner's Bureau released the identity of a woman whose body was discovered Thursday in a Beaumont-area crash.
Lynette Spencer, 87, was positively identified, and her identity was released following notification of her next of kin.
Shortly after 3 p.m. Thursday, Spencer's body was found in a nearly inaccessible car wreck on a Beaumont hillside, according to officials.

Earlier that day, a sheriff's department helicopter flying over the area discovered a gray Honda CRV, alerting of the single-car crash off Lamb Canyon and Gilman Springs Road. California Highway Patrol and Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department responders noted that there was a deceased woman was behind the wheel of the crashed vehicle.
The exact time and date of the fatal crash remained unclear, as no witnesses saw the car drive from the roadway. California Highway Patrol Officer Jonathan Torres told Patch that speed was considered a factor in the crash.
