I-10 Traffic Jam In Pass Area Due To Repair Work, SigAlert Issued
The traffic mess Thursday on eastbound Interstate 10 was caused by lane closures needed for emergency slab repairs, according to Caltrans.

CABAZON, CA — Traffic on eastbound Interstate 10 through the Pass Area was causing headaches for motorists on Thursday, and the slog was continuing into the evening rush-hour commute.
For most of the day, traffic was slow, with SigAlert.com indicating two lanes were closed for "construction work."
Shortly after 2:30 p.m., Caltrans District 8 confirmed lanes #3 and #4 on eastbound I-10 at Apache Trail in Cabazon were shuttered for slab repairs and the California Highway Patrol issued a SigAlert.
