Help Sought In Case Of Mysterious Disappearance Of Couple Whose SUV Was Found In Beaumont
Since May, there have been few new details in the missing persons case of Audrey Moran and Jonathan Reynoso.

PALM DESERT, CA — As the disappearance of a young couple remains shrouded in mystery — with no sign of the duo in over four months — the search for Audrey Moran, 26, and Jonathan Reynoso, 28 continues. The Coachella Valley couple has not been seen or heard from since May 10, though their vehicle did show up in Beaumont two days later.
Now, to keep the search efforts alive and strong, a fundraiser is planned in Palm Desert Wednesday to help produce flyers, banners and other materials to spread the word.
Moran and Reynoso have all but vanished since Many, when Moran left her Coachella home to pick up Reynoso, who may have been returning to the Coachella Valley from the Brawley area, according to investigators.

Moran said she was going to give Reynoso a ride to his Palm Desert home, but the SUV she drove was later found parked on the side of Interstate 10 in Beaumont. A police bloodhound detected their scent near the SUV, but the trail disappeared about 50 feet from the vehicle, which displayed no signs of foul play, was fueled and operating normally.

Though the case was initially handled by Indio police, it's since been turned over to the Riverside County Sheriff's Department.

"Based upon jurisdictional considerations, and the benefits of funneling all new information through a single source, the Riverside Sheriff’s Department Central Homicide Unit has assumed the investigation of both missing people," sheriff's officials said. "Due to the ongoing status of the investigation, no further information is available. We are encouraging the public with any helpful information in regards to the whereabouts of Audrey Moran and Jonathan Reynoso to call the missing persons tip-line at (760)-393-3544."
While sheriff's investigators continue looking into the disappearance of the man and woman, family members have distributed flyers in both the U.S. and Mexico, and are hoping that Wednesday's event will assist in funding future efforts to disseminate information on the lost pair, possibly leading to information regarding their whereabouts.
The fundraiser will be held at Stuft Pizza Bar & Grill, inside the Westfield Palm Desert mall, from 5 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.
