Police: Beaumont Bank Robbed, Suspect Sought
Police say the man took off with cash from the local bank.
Beaumont police are investigating a local bank robbery, the agency reports.
According to Beaumont Police Commander Sean Thuilliez, the robbery happened around 2:11 p.m. Tuesday at the U.S. Bank on Beaumont Avenue and Oak Valley Parkway.
“The suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the teller,” the commander said in a news release. “The teller complied with the suspect’s demands and the suspect exited the bank with an undisclosed amount of money.”

The man was last seen darting out of the area on foot, but responding officers couldn’t find him after searching the area, according to Thuilliez.
Surveillance footage did not clearly capture the man’s face, but someone may recognize the man in the released images above.

The suspect is described as a black man, about 20-years-old who is approximately 5-foot 9-inches tall, with a thin build. He was wearing a light-colored plaid shirt and a red-trimmed baseball cap, according to police.
