Roof Partially Collapses in Banning House Fire

Fire officials were called to the scene of the fire early Monday morning.

Riverside County firefighters battled a blaze at a vacant two-story structure in Banning for about 90 minutes Monday morning, authorities said.

The fire in the 800 block of West Lincoln Street was reported at 2:13 a.m., said Riverside County Fire Department spokeswoman Jennifer Fuhrman.

“Resources arrived to find a two-story abandoned structure, with a partial roof collapse, on fire,” Fuhrman said.

The 19 firefighters stayed outside the home due to the partial roof collapse and had the flames extinguished at 3:41 a.m., she said.
