Sexual Harassment Claim Lodged At Pass Supervisor Jeff Hewitt
The alleged sexual harassment took place May 15 at a Cherry Valley skilled nursing facility, the claim states.

SAN GORGONIO PASS AREA, CA — A woman who works for the county has filed a claim against Riverside County that accuses Supervisor Jeff Hewitt of sexually harassing her.
Nasim Nicole Hamrang is seeking damages for what she calls "negligent hiring/supervision/retention" of Hewitt by the county, the Nov. 13 claim states.
The alleged sexual harassment took place May 15 at a Cherry Valley skilled nursing facility and was witnessed by three people, according to the claim.

Hamrang, a marriage and family therapist associate, suffered damages "including ongoing emotional trauma/harassment/fear of retaliation" stemming from "the sexual harassment and negligent and intentional infliction of emotional distress as a result of the County Supervisor's conduct," according to the claim.
Following the May incident, police were not called, the claim states.

As part of the claim, Hamrang is seeking more than $25,000 in damages.
When contacted by The Press-Enterprise about the claim, Hewitt declined comment.
Hewitt represents District 5 in Riverside County, which includes the cities of Calimesa, Banning, Beaumont, Perris, Menifee, and Moreno Valley. He assumed office on Jan. 1, 2019, after defeating Russ Bogh in the Nov. 6, 2018, general election.
