Belmont police posted the image Friday.

Belmont, CA – Belmont police lowered the flag in front of the station on Friday, as a tribute to the dozens of victims killed in the terror attack in Nice, France this week.

"Belmont City Hall flag flown at half-staff in memory of the victims of the attack in Nice, France. #BelmontWatch," the police department tweeted on Friday, along with the image.

The death toll from the Bastille Day attack in Nice, France, grew to more than 80 people Friday morning, including 10 children, French officials said, and at least 50 more people were "between life and death." A truck loaded with bombs and other munitions plowed through a crowd that was celebrating the annual French holiday.
