AP Classes in High School

My thoughts on AP Classes in High School

I have just finished filling out and turning in my class registration for next year. In my junior year I will be taking Algebra II/Trig, Chinese 5-6, Jazz, Golf, Chemistry and 2 AP classes: APUSH(AP U.S History) and AP English. Honestly, I’m scared. I haven’t taken an AP, which is supposed to be at a college level of learning, even after getting the chance to. I like only having 1-4 hours of homework and I don’t know if I can keep up with it. But as stated on about.com, I can impress college admission counselors, develop college-level academic skills, save money, take more electives in college and add a minor or second major more easily. So I guess this is a good thing but this is it. No more night TV, no more drumming because I feel like it and no going to sleep at 10 pm. I guess this is my last year where I can lay back and not worry. Before the bills, mortgage and all the other responsibilities I’m taking on. It’ll be wake up, go to school for 7 hours, go to golf, come home and finally do all my homework. Weekends will be just homework. But I guess if it’s part of growing up I can do it just as I have done everything else. Besides, didn’t they just cure HIV? I need to stop worrying so much.
