Come to Good Neighbor Park if You Love Dogs and Books - Bark Twice Event

Bark Twice event on March 17th to celebrate dogs and books.

Families and dogs are invited on March 17th from noon til 4pm to come to Good Neighbor Park, 2800 Studebaker Road, and participate in a variety of fun events in celebration of Long Beach Reads One Book.

The Bark Twice event is cosponsored by Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske, Long Beach Animal Care Services, Friends of Long Beach Animals and Long Beach Reads One Book.

This year the book is "Racing in the Rain" a story told from the perspective of a dog.

Bark Twice features: Pet adoption information, Pets for Vets, LB Police K9 Unit, "My dog looks like me contest," Gourmet Food Truck -- Grilled Cheese, Animal Blessings, Face painting for kids, and celebrity book reading.

Everything is free and open to the public.
