Waking up with the waves on Friday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your surf report. Well, the latest storm has yet to move in, so I suggest if you're planning on paddling to get out there this morning while the conditions are still pretty calm.
It's fairly clean early on, with a combination of lingering west-northwest swell and some small south-southwest energy in the background. That recipe is making for some kinda crumbly sectiony lines, with a few fast corners.
Most spots in the Seal Beach area are running about knee-to-stomach high, with the focal points pulling the occasional bigger one.

Taking a look at those tides: At 8:44 this morning it pushes up to a 6.3 high which will definitely have some spots pretty swamped or even shut down mid-morning. The tide then drains out to a negative 1.1 low at 3:21 this afternoon.
If you're going to get wet, then you'll want to throw on at least the 3/2 full-suit or the 4/3 and maybe the boots, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 58 degrees. See ya in the water!

FYI: Health Officials urge surfers and swimmers to stay out of the ocean after a rain for at least 72 hours due to increased bacteria levels, especially near harbors, river mouths and storm drains.
