SUP instructors and their students gather on the Belmont Shore beach at Bayshore and 54th Place Saturday morning to learn paddling techniques. First, there's dry-land practice. Then, the teachers of Stand Up Rentals help them get into the water and try it on their knees, before their full stand up paddle board maiden voyage.
