Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your surf report. Well, today looks like a surf day. Yep we're getting a little break in between the storms and those conditions have cleaned up quite a bit.
It's fairly clean, with some spots possibly seeing a little leftover lump or bump on it. We're seeing a mix of mostly west northwest swell, some northwest windswell and small south-southwest energy in the water.
That recipe is offering some racy sectiony lines, that are a bit crumbly early on due to the mid-morning extreme high tide. Most spots in Seal Beach are pulling knee-to-chest-high waves, with the focal points pulling some bigger sets.

Meanwhile, if you're thinking about getting out the stand up paddleboard today, the Belmont Shore stretch of sand is ideal where there are basically no waves.
At 7:59 this morning the tide climbs up to a 6.4 high which will have many breaks pretty swamped throughout the morning. The tide then drains out to a negative 1.3 low at 2:47 this afternoon.

If you're going to get wet, you'll want to wear at least a 3/2 full-suit or a 4/3 and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees. See ya in the water!
FYI: Remember the County Health Department says surfers and swimmers should stay out of the water after a rain for at least 72 hours, especially near storm drains and river mouths.
