Benicia Man Arrested In Concord Burglary That Led To RV Chase: PD
A 29-year-old Benicia man wanted for a Concord burglary — and for 13 warrants — was arrested after a police chase in San Rafael, police said
BAY AREA, CA — Concord police said Friday that a Benicia man has been arrested in connection with the burglary of a business earlier this week on Galaxy Way in Concord that led to a freeway chase involving an RV. Police said Jessica Tomsky, 34, of Novato, was taken into custody Wednesday in the RV chase that ended on state Highway 4. A second suspect who reportedly fled the business in a Ford Mustang remained unidentified — until Concord police investigators obtained a warrant to search the RV which was being kept at a local tow yard.
Concord police Sgt. Jeff Ross said evidence was located in the motorhome that tentatively identified the Mustang driver as 29-year-old Benicia resident Adam Workman.
"Additional evidence led detectives to the Quality Inn in Vallejo, where detectives verified that Workman and the Mustang had been frequenting the hotel since early June," Ross said in a news release Friday.

While serving a search warrant at Workman's hotel room, investigators discovered a shotgun, narcotics and additional suspected stolen property, the sergeant said.
"Detectives also developed information that Workman was in the San Rafael area, which was immediately relayed to the San Rafael Police Department," Ross said.

At about 4:58 p.m. Thursday, San Rafael police located Workman in his Mustang near San Quentin Prison but when they attempted to take him into custody, he reportedly drove off and a pursuit ensued.
During the chase, Workman, who in addition to being wanted in connection with the Concord burglary investigation had 13 warrants out for his arrest, reportedly crashed into fixed objects and collided with another car.
"When Workman tried to enter I-580 in the wrong direction, San Rafael officers were able to disable the vehicle; Workman then climbed out the window, crossed all lanes of I-580 (during rush hour traffic) and tried to carjack a passing motorist before he was taken into custody," Ross said.
A stolen firearm, stolen property and more drugs were found in the Mustang, the sergeant said.
Workman was provided medical treatment before being booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of several felony charges.
Ross said the case against Workman and Tomsky is now being jointly investigated by the Concord and San Rafael police departments.
