Foul Play Not Suspected In Death Of Man Found Near Vallejo Railroad Tracks

BREAKING: A passerby discovered the body which was covered with a blanket.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA – A homeless man who was found dead in Vallejo on Wednesday afternoon appears to have died of natural causes, a police lieutenant said.

A passerby found the man's body around 3 p.m. on a trail near railroad tracks north of the 1300 block of Indiana Street near Santa Clara Street, Lt. Kent Trible said.

There were no signs of criminal activity or foul play. The man was in his 50s or 60s and appears to have been there several days, Trible said.

The man was covered with a blanket and was fully clothed, according to Trible.

The Solano County coroner's office has not yet notified the man's next of kin, a spokeswoman said.
