Solano Co. Coroner IDs Man Killed In I-80 Crash

VALLEJO, CA – The Solano County coroner's office has identified a driver who died when his vehicle crashed into a tractor-trailer on Interstate Highway 80 near Vallejo last Friday as 29-year-old Billy Brown Jr.

The California Highway Patrol said Brown was a resident of Kooskia, Idaho. According to the coroner's office, Brown's Idaho driver's license had expired and he had ties to the East Bay.

Brown was driving a Chevrolet Cobalt west on Highway 80 just east of American Canyon Road around 2:50 a.m. Friday when he turned the car to the right, left the road and struck a parked tractor-trailer on the right shoulder.
