Surrender control to get more of what you want.

On Sundays I put a little extra effort into cleaning the kitchen so that I can make a batch of raw cacao in a clean space. Sunday is also a writing day. Instead of battling the urge to play in the kitchen to avoid writing, I ask myself what gives me the least amount of resistance, making chocolate, or writing? If I follow my bliss and choose to write, I will write in a way that allows my message to flow through me. If I choose to make chocolate, I will make blessed, delicious chocolate. Going with the flow does not have to mean getting off path. It just might mean re-arranging the day to get the best results with the least resistance.

How does surrendering all efforts to make something happen lead to the bliss of reaching your goals? Just take nature for example, the right amount of sunshine and water are all it takes to allow the beauty of the flower to unfold. From a tight little bud, one that gives no hint to the wonder that is about to appear, a flower effortlessly opens up into an exotic display of color texture and beauty. Where in your life are you hanging on so tight to the desired outcome that the very trying may be what is holding you back? Sometimes the path of least resistance is the closest route to success. Adding things like yoga, meditation and the time to relax can be instrumental in allowing yourself to let go and allow magic to occur. Your body heals and responds more positively in a state of relaxation. Try swimming downstream instead up upstream once in a while - train yourself bit by bit to follow your bliss. This can work wonders and get you the results you desire in a shorter amount of time.
