Ann Coulter Files Lawsuit Over UC Berkeley Cancellation

BERKELEY, CA — Conservative speaker Ann Coulter filed a lawsuit Monday against officials at the University of California, UC Berkeley, and UC Berkeley Police over the decision to cancel her speaking engagement scheduled for later this week.
Specifically named are UC President Janet Napolitano, UC Berkeley Chancellor Nicholas Dirks, two vice chancellors and three members of the UC Police department.
Officials said last week that the engagement was cancelled because of safety fears.

The university has drawn criticism for canceling conservative speakers while allowing left-wing speakers on campus.
The university has not yet responded to the Ann Coulter lawsuit.
