Berkeley Public Schools: Small Fire At District Office At 2020 Bonar On July 3

On Friday evening, July 3, a small fire damaged the Berkeley Unified District Office building at 2020 Bonar St. There were no injuries. Berkeley Fire Department extinguished the fire.

The District Office is temporarily closed while necessary inspections, cleanup, and repair work take place. Most of the damage was to the building’s exterior, but the Admissions Office incurred some interior damage. As a result, this will delay plans to re-open this office to the community.
